Since the apple farmer started bringing apples again, this smoothie seemed like a no brainer.  It only takes couple minutes to put together, and it is good at breakfast or lunch. 

(2 servings) plus extra

  • 1 Gravenstein apple cored and diced 
  • 1 cup almond milk 
  • 1 teaspoon maca root powder*
  • 1 banana chopped and frozen*
  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen 
  • a dash of cinnamon 

Blend all in a blender and give it a try. Sometimes I will add a few more pieces of frozen banana  to chill it off more and make it thicker. I also like to add a touch of  Almond butter after a big run or ride.  

You can try your own smoothie combinations of course but this works for me. –  Get creative!
