Since a friend in town has been dropping off so many persimmons, this smoothie seemed like a no brainer. It only takes a couple minutes to put together, and I love it for breakfast.

(2 servings) plus extra

  • 1 Fuyu persimmon peeled and diced
  • 1 apple peeled cored and sliced
  • 1 cup non fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon maca root powder*
  • 1 banana chopped and frozen*
  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen

Blend all in a blender and give it a try. Sometimes I will add a few more pieces of frozen banana to chill it off more and make it thicker.

You can try your own smoothie combinations of course but this works for me. –  get creative!
